it's no secret that i'm a born + raised country girl. and that i love my family. in an interview with my friend + fellow entrepreneur whitney english, i share my story in detail like never before. and disclose what's next. [it's kinda sorta awesome.] but of course i couldn't withhold an exciting announcement from you, so i'm sharing a short little snippet with you - then click on over + read the whole shebang. in true angela-blogging-style, it's wordy...but witty, if i might say so myself. after that, scroll down for my final little reveal. [oh, the suspense.]
Tell me about your big dreams. Where do you want to go, what do you want to do, and why?
My goal is to grow fitlosophy to be a fitness force to be reckoned with. Our message is drastically different than everything else that’s out there in the industry. Quick fixes, false promises, body idolization, and sex sells; we are the opposite. We don’t sell hype; we offer hope. My mission recently has been to challenge industry influencers to redefine our approach. What we’re doing is not working: obesity is on the rise, our children are on track to have shorter life spans than their parents if current trends continue, and healthcare costs are skyrocketing. In the age of technology advancement and anytime, anywhere access to information and education, why then are people increasingly unhealthy? I want to change that. I want to change the shape of our world – literally.
In addition to growing fitlosophy, I would like to find time to work on one of the several books that I’ve started writing, spend time educating and inspiring other aspiring entrepreneurs, and eventually travel to wonderful places speaking life and passion into others. In the near term, I’m excited about launching a joint project with you (Whitney!) to help entrepreneurs become (healthy) goal-getters. More to come on that soon!
I’m thrilled to finally announce that in July we are expanding fitlosophy beyond Orange County to Colorado, where I was born and raised.
The business is growing rapidly and there’s an opportunity to open another office in Denver, a hotbed for entrepreneurs and also the healthiest state in the country. The idea is to design the life we want; and for me fitlosophy is just one part of who I am. So my goal is to live a life that reflects my priorities, one of which is family. I have full faith in my team here in Orange County and I’ll be traveling back and forth monthly, so I’ll get the best of both worlds! I’m fortunate that I have such a solid group of hard-working, passionate women working for me who embrace and work hard to achieve our mission. Without them, this wouldn’t be possible! Their response when I brought up the idea of opening a new office: “Well, does it really matter if you’re working from a coffee shop in Denver or a coffee shop down the street?” Ha! They know me too well.

now that you know what's next for fitlosophy; i want you to know the why behind it. knowing the coffee-chugging, goal-getting, type-a entrepreneur is exposing just one side of me; as i embark on a new exciting chapter, follow along and get to know me: angela. as if all this wasn't exciting enough, you may have noticed we launched a new website, which we're putting the finishing touches on before announcing to the world in celebration of fitbook's 7th birthday in just a few weeks. 7 years. what a wild ride it's been; it continues to challenge me, bless me + push me beyond my comfort zone. but if i've learned anything lately, it's that life is meant to be lived. i shall from refrain from ending this post by ending that with #livelifefit. (oops.)
thank you for being part of our story for the past seven years + being a pivotal part of our very promising future.
